A share is more than a claim on cash flow. In one week, two US agencies took three actions touching the vote, shareholder access and the trading venue itself. Plus: the World Bank's $112bn, and why low-income countries stayed at $3bn. Universal Asset Owners, 18 September 2026.

On Thursday the US Treasury sold thirty-year inflation-protected debt at a 2.973% real yield, the highest since October 2001 — and primary dealers were left with just 2.10% of it. The same morning the Panama Canal Authority cut daily traffic to thirty-four ships while Gatun Lake sat at 84.1 feet, exactly its five-year August average.
Why a 2.97% real yield makes the insurance buyout, the private-credit sleeve and the concentration trade optional — and why a lake sitting on its five-year average is the most interesting number of the week.
Also: a Bulgarian reactor derated 120MW on the Danube for the first time in 52 years, MSCI quietly cut its robotics and AI index cap from 15% to 12%, and the DOE's $500m of critical-mineral money turns out to be selections to enter negotiations rather than awards.

When did you last think about what the first 60 seconds feel like in your salon? Not the manicure. The feeling. In this episode of Pressed for Profit, Maya breaks down the most important lesson Apple never officially teaches — and why it's the exact answer to the "cheaper salon down the street" problem that keeps nail business owners up at night. Apple doesn't sell hardware. It sells how it feels to use the hardware. And that feeling commands a premium nobody can copy just by lowering their price. In this episode: • Why your salon's "product" isn't the polish — it's the experience • The Apple lesson on premium positioning that applies to any nail business • How to make clients feel something they can't get at the salon down the street • Why price-matching is a race you can't win (and don't have to run) • This week's action: audit your salon's first 60 seconds ROI math always varies by business, pricing, local demand, and execution. 🔗 LINKS ▶ ROI Calculator: https://nailprinter.ca/pages/roi-calculator ▶ V11 Nail Printer: https://nailprinter.ca/products/o2nails-v11 ▶ X12.5 Pro: https://nailprinter.ca/products/o2nails-x12-5 ▶ All Episodes: https://nailprinter.podbean.com #NailSalon #SalonOwner #NailBusiness #NailTech #PressedForProfit #SmallBusiness #BeautyBusiness

In this episode we unpack the shift from search engines to answer engines and the “silent crisis” facing businesses: top Google rankings no longer guarantee being recommended by AI-driven assistants. We explore how answer engine optimization (AEO), machine-readable authority, and consistent third-party signals determine visibility in the new landscape.
Using research on AEO, a paper on AI ambidexterity, and reporting from journalists in the Global South, the episode outlines practical steps — build authority hubs, adopt schema and measurement practices, balance exploitation with exploration, and implement governance — so organizations can actively manage visibility, strategy, and ethics in an AI-first world.

In this episode we trace the shift from the old information economy to a verification-driven "trust economy": search is moving from keywords to knowledge-graph entities, and AI systems now require clear, consistent identity signals (N-EEAT) to surface brands and services.
We unpack how human credibility is changing—less volume, more integrity—and explore the near-future of agentic payments via Kite AI, where delegated keys, programmable rules and reputation scores let AIs transact on our behalf. The practical takeaway: become a verifiable entity and prioritize integrity, because your agent’s behavior will soon reflect on your real-world reputation.

Looking back at 2024–2025, this episode surveys the era’s defining problem: manufactured reality. We trace AI washing in corporations, coordinated narrative campaigns in geopolitical conflicts, and the tech used to both create and detect those fakes.
Using case studies—from misleading consumer products to Operation Sindor—and commentary on the ideology of urgency, the hosts argue for skepticism, verification, and a new cultural "right to pause" as defenses against instant misinformation.
